Titan Twist Link Tire Chains Installation - 2024 GMC Sierra 1500- Video
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Titan Chain twist link chains on our 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. Our Titan Chain chains are twist link style, and as you can see, you have chain links that are twisted and what that does for you, it allows you to get better traction in ice, snow, and mud. These guys are rated for on road. The material is a steel alloy that's designed to hold up against corrosion and the elements and salt, like you can see that's in the tread of our truck here. The way that it secures are gonna be links on the rear and a latch on the front. With the size tire that we have, the 255/70R17, it was a lot of slack on the chain, so I would suggest adding a rubber adjuster, that's gonna help pull the tension towards the middle. more

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Titan Chains Roller Link Cable Chains on our 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. Our roller links are gonna be your economy option, and, generally speaking, this is gonna be something that you keep in your vehicle for a worst case scenario if you need it, kind of along the lines of a spare tire. If you use 'em, you're not gonna have a very long life out of them. However, they are definitely better than nothing to add additional traction in light snow and light ice. As far as the clearance, out of all of the cables I've done today in tire chains, this is gonna have the lowest clearance behind the vehicle, behind the wheel, on the inside of the wheel well, you're not making contact with anything. It's really tight against the wheel. more

You definitely want to check your manufacturer's manual as far as their tire size and what is compatible. But with this chain on the Armada, it fits pretty well. Hi, everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at and be showing you how to install the Konig K-Summit XL Snow Tire Chains on our 2022 Ford Maverick. And these are gonna be on tire size 225/65R17 and per the Owner's Manual on the rear tires. One of the other things Ford mentions in their Owner's Manual when looking at snow tire chains is the limited wheel well clearance, both in the wheel well here around the tire, but also with some of our suspension components in the back. And in some cases, it can make tire chains incompatible because if we have too big of a link or pieces that wrap around the back of our tire, they might interfere with those suspension components or with the wheel well, causing problems with our vehicle that we don't want. Where these are unique is the fact that all of the chain sits on the tire tread and nothing sits behind the tire. more
